Sandy Scott

Workshop Coordinator

A proudly culturally Deaf individual who is employed by Utah Schools for the Deaf as an elementary teacher. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Deaf Studies and a Master of Science in Deaf Education in Bilingual Settings. Her teaching philosophy is to embrace and celebrate diversity while also supporting all students through advocacy and exposure to Deaf culture. Sandy is the HSLC Curriculum Coordinator, specializing in implementing various BIPOC Deaf programs such as curricula and webinars, along with overseeing the curriculum teams. Her 26 year teaching experience has given her a platform for promoting equity, inclusiveness and human rights which carries out in all of her endeavors.
